Quicksand (2019), for Bb clarinet and riq (or multi-percussion), was commissioned by the Unfiltered Duo (Paul Hayes, percussion, and Amy Humberd, clarinet), and premiered at Southern Adventist University in Tennessee on February 23, 2020. This work, lasting approximately 6.5 minutes, allows both musicians to groove and express their own unique, soloistic voices.
This product includes the full score, Bb clarinet part, Riq part, and Multiple Percussion part. The percussionist is free to choose either the riqq or multi-percussion part for performance based on ability and/or personal taste. The multiple percussion instrumentation includes:
Bass Drum (w/ sticks), Bongos, Tambourine (mounted), Snare Drum
